Varna — the Pearl of the Black Sea Coast

Varna — the Pearl of the Black Sea Coast

Varna is a port city on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, close to the coastal resorts of Golden Sands, St. Constantine and Helena, and Albena. It is famous for the "Gold of Varna" — a 6,000-year-old Thracian treasure discovered in a Necropolis, which can be seen in the Archaeological Museum alongside Greek, Roman and Ottoman antiques.

The Sea Garden promenade, with its abundance of bars, is situated opposite Primorski Park, created in the 19th century.
